The teaser of Suresh Gopi’s upcoming Malayalam film, Varaaham, was unveiled on Wednesday, 26 June, on his birthday.
As the teaser begins, the (Suresh Gopi’s) voice-over describes the traditional bull-taming festival of “Jallikattu“. The actor dwells at length about the strength and strategy of the bull, hinting at the intense journey of the protagonist (played by himself).
“Have you seen Jallikattu, the bull-taming festival? When the player grasps the hump of the bull, it slams its head on the ground and charges with force, deceiving the player into believing that the bull’s head touched the ground. However, that moment is orchestrated by the bull itself to position itself to gore the player on its horns!”
In all, Varaaham teaser promises a riveting tale of revenge packed with thrills, chills, and powerful dialogues delivered by Suresh Gopi.
The makers recently launched the first-look poster of the movie, which increased anticipation for the project.
Varaaham also casts Suraj Venjaramoodu, director Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Navya Nair, in significant roles. Prachi Tehlan, Sreejith Ravi, Sarayu Mohan, Indrans, Shaju Sreedhar, and Jaya Krishnan will appear as supporting cast.
The film is directed by Sanal V Devan, who debuted with Kunjamminis Hospital (2023). The story was written by Jithu K Jayan and Manu C Kumar (the director of the 2023 film Sesham Mike-il Fathima). Manu also penned the screenplay and dialogues.
Varaaham is produced by Vineet Jain under his banner Maverik Movies Private Limited, in association with Sanjay Padiyoor Entertainments. Rahul Raj composed the music for the film. Mansoor Muthutty is the editor and Ajay David Kachappilly is the cinematographer.
Suresh Gopi’s previous film with director Arun Varma, Garudan (2023), was a successful venture. The actor will next be seen in JSK and Ottakkomban (backed by Mammootty Kampany), and an untitled venture of Sree Gokulam Movies.
