Soubin Shahir and Zakariya team up again after ‘Sudani From Nigeria’

Soubin Shahir and Zakariya reunite after 'Sudani From Nigeria'

Director Zakariya and Soubin Shahir are reuniting six years after their successful movie Sudani From Nigeria.

Soubin Shahir made the official announcement through his social media platform. However, more details about the movie are not known.

The untitled flick is drawing huge expectations since Sudani From Nigeria (2018), Zakariya debut directorial, was well-received by critics and audiences.

It won several awards at the 2018 Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value, Best Debut Director, and Best Actor.

The film also won an award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam at the 2018 National Film Awards.

Zakariya’s second movie was Halal Love Story (2020). It had a direct OTT release via Amazon Prime Video.

Soubin Shahir, who played the lead and co-produced the blockbuster hit Manjummel Boys, is now on cloud nine with the film becoming a blockbuster in Malayalam collecting ₹200 crore

Soubin is currently working for Pravinkoodu Shappu, directed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan. The Malayalam movie also stars Basil Joseph and Chemban Vinod Jose as the lead.

The actor is also playing a key role in the upcoming Tovino Thomas-starrer Nadikar. It is directed by Jean Paul Lal and is slated for release in May.
