Ace music directors Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, and Loy Mendonsa are set to debut in Malayalam cinema.
While the film’s title has not yet been revealed, debutant Adhvaith Nayar will direct it. Ramesh S Ramakrishnan, Ritesh S Ramakrishnan, and Shihan Shoukath will produce it under the banner of Reel World Entertainment.
Sharing the news on their Instagram handle, the trio expressed happiness about diving into the Malayalam cinema.
Speaking about the project, they said, “Big news! We’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, we’re diving into the world of Malayalam cinema. This one’s got it all – Kochi’s soul, WWE wrestling madness, chenda beats, and a soundtrack that’s literally gonna pack a punch! ”
They further wrote: “Very excited to be working with producers Ramesh, Ritesh, and Shihan at Reel World Entertainment. This project is something we’ve never done before, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Title and cast announcement coming VERY soon – and trust me, you don’t wanna miss this!”
While the cast or the film’s title is not yet announced, the production house has previously announced a project with Arjun Ashokan in August 2024. According to the poster, the film is expected to be based on wrestling. The tagline is “Ready to Rubmble?”, and had the same footnote: “Don’t try this at home.”
The August post read, “Wishing our superstar Arjun Ashokan a powerhouse birthday as we gear up for the ultimate Kochi smackdown! The ropes are getting tightened, the lights are blazing, and the crowd’s buzzing.”

They are most known for their works in the early 2000s, especially in the films, Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Rock On!! (2008), My Name Is Khan (2010), and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). They also won the National Award for Kal Ho Naa Ho.
