Aashiq Abu’s latest release Rifle Club is all set to reach a wider audience. The action thriller, which hit the theatres on 19 December 2024 will soon be available on the OTT giant Neflix.
While it has not been announced on the social media handles yet, the Netflix rooster, which shows the upcoming shows and movies showed that the film will be streaming on the platform from Thursday, 16 January.
The movie’s summary, on the platform, reads: A famed actor turns to an old rifle club to prepare for a hunting role. But chaos erupts when a couple fleeing an arms dealer winds up there as well.
It boasts an ensemble cast — Dileesh Pothan, Vani Vishwanath, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, Hanumankind, The Baby Jean, Vincy Aloshious, Vishnu Agasthya, Darshana Rajendran, Surabhi Lakshmi, Ramzan Muhammad, Vijayaraghavan, and Unnimaya Prasad.
Rifle Club also marked the acting debut of rapper Hanumankind, who gained international fame with his hit English song “Big Dawgs”.
The Bengaluru-based artist portrayed Bheera, the volatile son of a character played by Anurag Kashyap.
Hanumankind’s previous work includes the track “The Last Dance” for the Malayalam film Aavesham (2024), featuring Fahadh Faasil.
The screenplay was penned by four writers —Dileesh Nair, Syam Pushkaran, Sharfu, and Suhas. They are reuniting after the hit movie Maayanadhi.
Rex Vijayan composed the music, and Aashiq Abu, who also serves as the cinematographer, produced the film alongside Vincent Vadakkan and Vishal Vincent Tony under OPM Cinemas.
Rifle Club‘s production design was handled by Ajayan Chalissery, who is known for his exceptional work on Manjummel Boys. The stunts are designed by Supreme Sundar.
“Rifle Club offers a unique cinematic experience with a retro feel. The high-quality production is a major highlight, and the strong performances make it an engaging watch,” our review read.
