Rekhachithram directed by Jofin T Chacko, features a unique theme based on alternate history. Appu Prabhakar’s cinematography gave the movie a unique visual style. Additionally, Mujeeb Majid’s background score enhanced the film’s suspenseful moments.

In the film, Asif plays Vivek, a police officer investigating a case that took place 40 years ago. The film alternates between the present and 1984-85, as writers Ramu Sunil and John Manthrikal create a fictional narrative parallel to the shooting of Mammootty’s Kathodu Kathoram.

Asif’s character is subtle, working to prove his abilities as he’s not having the best time at his workplace. His portrayal of a shrewd policeman collecting evidence and offering insightful interpretations is crucial in solving the case.

The link between the present and the past is uncovered through evidence gathered by Vivek. The first half of Rekhachithram moves slowly, focusing on the investigation and the pressure on the police from those involved in the case. The second half becomes more engaging as the mystery unravels and the police reach their conclusion.

Rekhachithram is a thriller that takes a unique approach to storytelling. The alternate history aspect is a major highlight of the film. The performances of Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan also stand out,” our review read.
