Paalum Pazhavum new poster out

The makers of Meera Jasmine’s Paalum Pazhavum have unveiled a quirky poster. Sharing the poster on social media, they captioned the post: “Love in the time of likes & shares! Meet Sumi & Sunil, the Facebook-famous couple who took their online connection to the next level! Share the love and spread the word!”

As per the post, Meera Jasmine plays the role of Sumi and Aswin appears as Sunil in the movie. The new poster gives the impression that Paalum Pazhavum revolves around the romance between a young man and an elder woman.

The film is directed by VK Prakash whose latest outing was Live (2023). It will be released on 23 August.

Addressing the media at a promotional event, Aswin said it was a “dream-come-true moment for him” to be part of the project and that he was enjoying the moment.

Aswin wrote the script for Anuragam, which was released last year. The film, however, didn’t do well at the box office.

Earlier, Meeraj Jasmine announced the release date of the film along with the first-look poster, which featured her getting married to Aswin at a register office.

Paalum Pazhavum is scripted by Ashish Rajani Unnikrishnan. It casts Shanthi Krishna, Ashokan, Maniyanpillai Raju, Nisha Sarangh, Rachana Narayanankutty, Mithun Ramesh, Sumesh Chandran, Adil Ibrahim, Shinu Shyamalan, Thushara, Vineeth Ramachandran, and Atul Ram Kumar in supporting roles.

The cinematography is by Rahul Deep and the editing is by Praveen Prabhakar. Sachin Balu, Joel Jones, and Justin Uday duo composed the music. Gopi Sundar composed the background score for the film.

Meera Jasmine will be next seen in the Tamil film The Test, alongside Nayanthara, R Madhavan, and Siddharth. She has recently been roped in for a key role in the upcoming Telugu film Swag, headlined by Sree Vishnu. It’s written and directed by Hasith Goli and produced by People Media Factory.

The actor was part of several Malayalam hit films like Achivinte Amma (2005), Rasathanthram (2006), and Vinodhayathra (2007).

Meera Jasmine took a short break from films and made a comeback in Malayalam with Sathyan Anthikad’s Makal in 2022. Later, she did M Padmakumar’s Queen Elizabeth (2023), starring Narain as the male lead. However, the movie wasn’t a success.
