Actor Nayanthara has now joined the Malayalam cinema’s most anticipated multistarrer directed by Mahesh Narayan.
While Mammootty is officially on board the project, many unconfirmed reports suggest the film will feature Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban.
Nayanthara and Mammootty have previously worked together in Thaskara Veeran (2005), Rappakal (2005), Bhaskar the Rascal (2015) and Puthiya Niyamam (2016).
The film, tentatively being referred to as MMMN, is touted to be a big-budget political thriller.
Sharing the pictures of Nayanthara and Mammootty, the production house Mammootty Kampany wrote: “Nayanthara and Mammukka from the Sets of #AJFC_MMMN !!”
The film team is currently shooting in Kochi after completing shooting schedules in Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, and the UAE. Following the Kochi schedule, production is expected to shift to New Delhi.
According to Cinema Express report, the film has cinematography by Manush Nandan, who has worked in Hindi films like Thugs of Hindostan (2018), Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2021) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
Mahesh Narayanan, an editor-turned-filmmaker, is renowned for directing critically acclaimed films such as Take Off (2017), C U Soon (2020), Malik (2021), and Ariyippu (2022).
Mammootty was last seen in Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film received mixed responses. However, the actor’s performance was appreciated unanimously.
Next, he will star in Bazooka, written and directed by Deeno Dennis. He has also completed shooting for a film debutant director Jithin K Jose starring actor Vinayakan, where Mammootty reportedly plays a character with negative shades.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara was last seen in Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food (2023) and in the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.
