The new poster of the upcoming Malayalam movie, Mr & Mrs Bachelor, has caught the fancy of film buffs. The poster features Anaswara Rajan again. Dressed in a wedding gown, she eagerly waits for someone while sitting on a bench and holding a transparent umbrella on a rainy night.
Indrajith Sukumaran is the male lead of the movie. He is teaming up with Anaswara for the first time. Mr & Mrs Bachelor will be released in cinema halls on 23 August. It is touted to be a romantic comedy.
Earlier this month, the makers unveiled the first-look poster of Mr & Mrs Bachelor, where a visibly happy Anaswara Rajan in a wedding gown sits on the bonnet of a wedding car. There’s a cute puppy placed in a basket right beside her. Interestingly, she holds an umbrella here, too.
The other cast of the flick includes Rahul Madhav, Deepu Karunakaran, Sohan Seenulal, and Biju Pappan.
Mr & Mrs Bachelor is directed by Deepu Karunakaran, who helmed Crazy Gopalan (2008) and Karinkunnam 6′s (2016). Prakash Highline is bankrolling it under the banner of Highline Pictures.
The Malayalam movie was scripted by Arjun T Sathyan, popular for Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu (2017) starring Biju Menon.
Mr & Mrs Bachelor is believed to be a road trip film made on the lines of the blockbuster Bollywood film Jab We Met (2007). The lead characters will spend most of their time in a car.
On the other hand, Anaswara Rajan delivered two hits this year—Abraham Ozler and Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil. Both films are available on OTT. She will next be seen in the debut directorial of Sreejith Babu alongside Sajin Gopu.
Indrajith Sukumaran was last seen in Marivillin Gopurangal (2024), which got mixed reviews. He recently announced his next, Kaalante Thangakudam, a fantasy movie.
He is also part of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial forthcoming directorial Empuraan and Jeethu Joseph’s RAM. Both films have Mohanlal as the protagonist.
