Malayalam actor Saiju Kurup’s ‘GU’ to hit screens on 17 May

Saiju Kurup's GU will release on 17 May

Malayalam actor Saiju Kurup has turned out to do solo films. His next solo release is GU, directed by debutant Manu Radhakrishnan.

On Monday, 22 April, the makers unveiled a new poster and announced the release date.

Touted to be a fantasy horror, GU will be released in theatres on 17 May.

The new poster of GU features Saiju Kurup with child actor Deva Nandha. They both worked together in Unni Mukundan’s Malikappuram (2022).

On the technical front, the cinematography of GU is handled by Chandrakanth Madhavan and the music is composed by Jonathan Bruce.

Maniyanpilla Raju is producing the movie.

GU also stars Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Abhijith Renjith, Aneena Angala Joseph, Gouri A S, Gopika Rani, Vijay Nelliz, Aswathy Manoharan, Nandini Gopalakrishnan, and Laya Simpson in prominent roles.

It features child actors Alwin Mukund, Prajesh Mullikkot, and Aadya Amith in key roles.

Saiju Kurup’s Upacharavoorvam Gunda Jayan (2022) was a successful venture. The actor is also getting supporting roles in recent films.

In 2023, he did seven films, including Janaki Jaane, Madhura Manohara Moham, Valatty, and A Ranjith Cinema.

This year, he appeared in a key role in Jayaram’s Abraham Ozler.

He is now busy with his new movie Bharathanatyam.
