Kunchacko Boban and Priya Mani’s ‘Officer On Duty’ to release on 20 February

'Officer On Duty' will be the debut venture of director Jithu Ashraf.

Officer On Duty to release on 20 February

Kunchacko Boban and Priya Mani are set to come together for a new project titled Officer On Duty. The film, touted to be an action film has locked its release date.

On Friday, 17 January, the makers announced that the film will hit the screens on 20 February.  The film will be the debut venture of director Jithu Ashraf.

Sharing the release date poster, the makers wrote: “Duty Calls, Date is Set!! 20 FEB 2025 – #OfficerOnDuty in Cinemas Worldwide.”

Earlier, along with the title reveal, the makers also released two first-look posters of the film, one featuring the lead actors and another showcasing Kunchacko Boban with the supporting cast.

The debutant director worked as an associate director previously for Action Hero Biju (2016), Udhaharanam Sujatha (2017), and Ela Veezha Poonchira (2022). He also acted in Nayattu (2021) and Iratta (2023).

Martin Prakkat Films and The Green are producing Officer On Duty. The banners earlier collaborated for Pranaya Vilasam (2023).

Jagadish, Manoj KU, Srikant Murali, Unni Lalu, Vaishak Shankar, and Ramzan are also part of the cast.

Kannur Squad (2023) director Roby Varghese Raj is the cinematographer.

Jakes Bejoy is the music director and Chaman Chakko is the editor. Officer On Duty is scripted by Shahi Kabir.

Kunchacko Boban was last seen in Amal Neerad’s Bougainvillea (2024), while Priya Mani’s last appearance was in the Hindi film Maidaan (2024), opposite Ajay Devgn.

Priya Mani recently garnered huge praise for her performance in the Telugu crime thrillers Bhamakalapam, and Bhamakalapam 2, where she played an ambitious housewife who runs a cookery show on YouTube.

She also did two Bollywood films — Article 370 and Maidaan. She will next be seen in a Tamil film and a Kannada movie.
