The teaser of Dinjith Ayyathan’s upcoming directorial, Kishkindha Kaandam, promises a riveting thriller set in a reserve forest area. While Asif Ali plays the male lead in the film, Aparna Balamurali is the leading lady.
The Kishkindha Kaandam teaser features Vijayaraghavan as the stern father of Asif Ali’s character. Aparna Balamurali visits the forest to unearth some truths. In all, the teaser gives the vibes of an edge-of-the-seat thriller.
While launching the teaser, the makers announced that the movie would be released for Onam this year.
This is Dinjith Ayyathan’s sophomore outing after Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019), a satirical drama where Asif Ali appeared as a lawyer for the first time in his career.
The story, screenplay, and dialogue for Kishkindha Kaandam were written by Bahul Ramesh. Joby George is backing it under his banner Goodwill Entertainments.
The movie also features Jagadish, Ashokan, Nishan, Vyshnavi Raj, Major Ravi, Nizhalkal Ravi, Shebin Benson, Kottayam Ramesh, Bilas Chandrahasan, Master Aarav, and Gibin Gopinath in key roles.
Bahul Ramesh is handling screenwriting and cinematography for Kishkindha Kaandam. Sooraj ES is the editor and Mujeeb Majeed is the music director.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali’s latest films Adios Amigo and Level Cross received a good reception at the box office. He shared the screen with Suraj Venjaramoodu in the former and with Amala Paul and Sharaf U Dheen in the latter.
Level Cross saw a decent collection in theatres, though it is devoid of commercial elements.
Asif Ali also has a good lineup of films this year, including Tiki Taka, Jofin T Chacko’s Rekhachitram and Thamar KV’s next.
Further, he will next be seen in Thalvan 2, a sequel to the hit film Thalavan (2024). Biju Menon is also part of this investigative thriller.
The actor recently joined the sets of Abhynathara Kuttavali, which marks the debut of Sethunath Padmakumar as a director in the Malayalam industry.
