Karnataka based KVN Productions to debut in Malayalam with director Chidambaram

KVN is currently producing Vijay's final film 'Thalapathy69', the Yash-starrer 'Toxic', and a Hindi film with Priyadarshan.

KVN Produtions to debut in Malayalam

Manjummel Boys (2024) was the biggest hit of Malayalam cinema last year. In the film, director Chidambaram took a real live incident and turned it into a survival thriller.

Now the director is joining hands with Kanrataka-based KVN Productions for his next venture. The project, KVN Productions is collaborating on with Thespian Films also marks the debut of the production house in Malayalam.

Apart from Chidambaram, the project also has Jitu Madhvan of Aavesham fame onboard. Vivek Harshan will be working as the editor, Sushin Shyam will be the music director, and Shyju Khaled will be the director of photography for the untitled movie.

Meanwhile, Chidambaram recently announced his Hindi debut with a gangster drama, which Phantom Films is backing.

Sharing the announcement, the production house wrote: “KVN Productions and Thespian Films join forces with Mavericks Chidambaram and Jithu Madhavan to create a Malayalam masterpiece. Big names, bigger vision!”

According to the Cinema Express, Sharing his thoughts on the venture, Venkat K Narayana, founder of KVN Productions, said, “Our vision has always been to redefine cinema across languages, and this film marks our foray into Malayalam with the same grandeur and excellence that audiences expect from us. With such exceptional talent at the helm, we’re confident about it.”

Chidambaram said, “I’m thrilled to work with a team that shares my passion for storytelling. This collaboration is something I am looking forward to; I can’t wait to bring this vision to life.” Jithu added, “This script is close to my heart, and with the support of such a stellar team, I am sure we will make something good.”
