Pani is produced by M Riyaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan under Joju George’s Appu Pathu Pappu Productions, AD Studios, and Sree Gokulam Movies.
Joju George, a well-known name in Malayalam cinema, is also active in Tamil films, including Suriya 44 and Thug Life.
He made his Tamil debut with Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram (2021), directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and later appeared in Madhumitha’s segment, Mouname Paarvayaai, in the 2022 Amazon series Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadha.
In an interview, Joju George expressed admiration for Tamil cinema, noting, “The Malayalam industry is smaller, so we create good content with limited budgets. We eagerly anticipate Tamil films and admire directors like Vetrimaaran and Pa Ranjith.”
Joju George’s transition from a junior artist in Mazhavilkoodaram (1995) to a leading star in the industry has been remarkable.
In a recent interview, Joju George expressed his excitement at sharing the screen with prominent names in Malayalam cinema. “I still find it surreal,” he noted, adding that he often wonders if it was challenging for established stars to accept him, given his early roles were so minor.
Some of Joju George’s recent notable Malayalam films include Action Hero Biju (2016), Malik (2021), Nayattu (2021), Aanum Pennum (2021) and Thuramukham (2023).
