Malayalam directors Jibu Jacob and Abrid Shine are joining hands for the first time for a movie titled Bheekaran. They are producing it jointly under the banner J&A Cinema House.
Young actor Joemon Jyothir plays the titular role in Bheekaran. Joemon Jyothir is a popular social media influencer who played comedy roles in films like Romancham, Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil, and Vaazha.
The upcoming film was written by Abrid Shine and will be directed by Jibu Jacob. More details about the cast and the crew are yet to be revealed.
Bheekaran is drawing huge anticipation since it brings together two leading directors of Malayalam cinema for the first time. The film is expected to be a wholesome entertainer.
Joemon Jyothir carved a niche for himself in the industry with his exceptional comic timing, which became evident with his roles in Romancham and Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil.
His latest outing, Vaazha, became a super hit. The Malayalam movie struck the right chord with the young audience. It is doing well in theatres despite facing tough competition from Basil Joseph’s Nunakuzhi.
In Vaazha, Joemon Jyothir appeared as Moosa, one of the lead characters. The USP of the film is the script and brilliant performances by the cast.
Apart from Bheekaran, Joemon Jyothir is working on Sharaf U Dheen and Aishwarya Lekshmi’s Hello Mummy and Aju Varghese’s Padakkuthira.
Meanwhile, Abrid Shine is now working on an untitled film, which is a sequel to Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju (2016). He is also scripting Rachel starring Honey Rose.
His previous work was Mahaveeryar (2022) with Nivin Pauly.
On the other hand, Jibu Jacob rose to fame with Vellimoonga (2014), headlined by Biju Menon. His Mei Hoom Moosa (2022), which had Suresh Gopi as the protagonist, wasn’t a big success.
