Asif Ali, Amala Paul, and Sharaf U Dheen in Level Cross trailer

An intriguing trailer for the upcoming Malayalam film, Level Cross, has been launched. The trailer features Asif Ali, Amala Paul, and Sharaf U Dheen dealing with difficult situations.

As per the Level Cross trailer, Amala Paul plays a psychiatrist in the film, while Asif Ali portrays the role of a railway gateman in a no-man’s land. The actor went for a makeover and sports a different look for his character.

Sharaf U Dheen is shown as a patient of Amala Paul’s psychiatrist and the two are in a relationship. But their relationship hits rock bottom and Amala somehow ends up at Asif Ali’s place. However, the two seem to share a cordial relationship as she reveals some of her secrets to him.

In January, the makers of Level Cross unveiled a motion poster, featuring the three lead actors. Asif Ali’s makeover piqued the interest of film buffs and fans and raised expectations for the film. The reports that the actor would play a negative role are further building anticipation for the movie.

In an interview, Asif Ali disclosed that he plays a unique character set in an imaginary land in Level Cross and the scenes were shot in Tunisia.

The film is directed by debutant Arfaz Ayub, who also scripted it. The dialogues are written by his father Adam Ayub. The cinematography is by Appu Prabhakar and the music is composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar.

Level Cross is edited by Deepu Joseph. Ramesh P Pillai is producing it and director Jeethu Joseph is presenting it. The flick is slated for release on 26 July.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali is on cloud nine owing to the success of his recent outing Thalavan. The actor’s upcoming releases include Adios Amigo (releasing on 2 August), Tiki Taka, Jofin T Chacko’s untitled film, and Thamar KV’s next.

On the other hand, Amala Paul was last seen in Blessy’s Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), where she played Sainu, the wife of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Najeeb, the protagonist.
