The first-look poster of Urvashi’s upcoming release, L Jagadamma Ezham Class B, has been unveiled.
Urvashi’s director-husband Shivas is wielding the megaphone for the film. He also penned the story, screenplay, and dialogue of the project.
The first look of L Jagadamma Ezham Class B gives the impression that the film will revolve around the lives of Kudumbashree workers of Kerala. In the poster, Urvashi and the co-stars are seen in the attire of Kudumbashree workers.
Urvashi plays the title role of L Jagadamma in the movie. Besides her, it stars Kalesh Ramanand, Balachandran Chullikkad, Jayan Cherthala, Kalabhavan Prajod, Rajesh Sharma, Noby Marcose, Jibin Gopinath, PR Pradeep, Resmi Anil, Shailaja Ambu, and Anjaly Sathyanath in prominent roles.
The cinematography is handled by Anil Nair and the music is composed by Kailas Menon. Shaijal PV is the editor. Urvashi is producing it in association with Fossil Holdings.
Urvashi last appeared as Leelamma in the hit film Ullozhukku. Parvathy Thiruvothu played her daughter-in-law in the film. Ullozhukku received critical acclaim and also evoked a warm response from the audience. It also won awards at various international film festivals.
Further, Urvashi was honoured with the Best Actress Award at the 54th Kerala State Film Awards 2024 for her performance in the flick. This is the sixth time she received the Best Actress Award.
Reacting to the news, she said an actor gets the first award when the director okays a shot in the film. “However, getting recognition from the state government felt like seeing one’s progress report in school.”
Urvashi thanked all the directors who were part of her success and noted that the overwhelming response to Ullozhukku from the audience filled her heart.
The Malayalam movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
In Tamil, she was recently seen in Andhagan, starring Prashanth and Simran in the lead roles. This is the official remake of the hit Bollywood movie Andhadhun (2018).
