Dulquer Salmaan is set to make a comeback to Malayalam cinema, after more than a year. Though the actor was last seen in Lucky Baskhar (2024), 2023’s King of Kotha was his last Malayalam film.
Earlier, the actor said that he would make a comeback to Malayalam cinema. He also announced that he would collaborate with Nahas Hidayath and Soubin Shahir.
Recently Dulquer Salmaan officially announced his next Malayalam project with Nahas Hidayath. It is titled I’m Game.
A poster of the film was also released, which featured a man’s wounded hand clutching a playing card.
He wrote on Instagram, “The Game is On ! #RollYourDice #ImGame”

The film’s screenplay is crafted by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker, while Jakes Bejoy has been roped in to compose the music.
While there has been criticism against the actor for not doing enough work in Malayalam, Dulquer Salmaan said that he is not intentionally staying away from the Malayalam film industry.
He added: “ My place, my home, my people, my family, my brothers and sisters, my mothers and fathers, if I don’t do a film for all of you, it would be a bad thing that I am doing to my career.”
Terming the year-long break as a hiatus, Dulquer in an earlier interview with TV9 said, “Last year, I was able to work on only one film. Perhaps that’s my fault; some films didn’t work out and my health wasn’t that great.”
Speaking of Lucky Baskhar, he said, “We had delays in shooting also due to my health. My director, producer, cast and crew were very supportive. There were days when the team only suggested stopping the shooting and seeing me in pain,” Dulqer said, without divulging details.
Directed by Venky Atluri and starring Dulquer Salmaan, the movie created considerable excitement with its engaging storyline and impressive cast. Meenakshi Chaudhary stars alongside Dulquer Salmaan, with music by GV Prakash Kumar.
