Antony Varghese Pepe’s ‘Daveed’ wraps up its first schedule

The first schedule of Malayalam actor Antony Varghese Pepe’s upcoming movie Daveed has been wrapped up.

Sharing this update on social media, actor Antony Varghese wrote: “Get in the ring with Daveed. As we prepare for more indefatigable action. First Schedule wrap!

The actor also shared a poster, which hints that the film revolves around boxing.

The shooting of Daveed commenced in June after a pooja ceremony. Later, the makers unveiled a motion poster, announcing that Daveed would have a good dose of adrenalin-pumping stunt sequences involving martial artists. They also promised a riveting watch for action movie lovers.

In his social media post, Antony Varghese Pepe stated that the movie is based on the story of a fighter. The actor plays the role of Abu in the flick.

Daveed is directed by debutant Govind Vishnu. The script was written by Govind Vishnu and Deepu Rajeevan, who is also a newcomer.

The film also stars Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup, Kichu Tellus, Jess Kukku, and Mohammad Karakki in key roles.

Daveed is jointly produced by John And Mary Creative, Century Films, Maxlab, and Panorama Studios.

The cinematography is handled by Salu K Thomas and the editing is by Rakesh Cherumadam. Justin Varghese is the music director. Renganaath Ravee is the sound designer. PC Stunts oversees the action choreography.

John and Mary Creative bankrolled Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban, released in January this year.

In 2023, Antony Varghese Pepe delivered the blockbuster film RDX under the direction of Nahas Hidayath.

His next movie, Kondal, is produced by Weekend Blockbusters and directed by Ajit Mampally. It will be released for Onam.

Antony Varghese Pepe made a name for himself in the Malayalam industry with action flicks. The actor also did a few comedy films like Oh Meri Laila (2022) and Poovan (2023). However, both films didn’t do well in theatres.

Meanwhile, Lijomol Jose’s latest release, Nadanna Sambavam, received a good response from the audience.
