Kunchacko Boban, Jyothirmayi, and Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming movie Bougainvillea is all set for release. The movie directed by Amal Neerad will hit the screens on 17 October.
The release date was announced through the social media pages of the lead actors, with the note saying “Save the date”.
Recently the makers of the movie have unveiled the promotional song titled, “Sthuthi” composed by music director Sushin Syam. The song is now viral on social media. The song “Sthuthi” showcased some amazing dance steps by Kunchako Boban and Jyothirmayi raising the expectations for the movie.
Apart from the lead actors, the movie also has a stellar cast including Sharafudeen, Veena Nandakumar and Srinda in key roles.
The movie is written by Amal Neerad and Lajo Jos. Anend C Chandran is handling the cinematography.
Earlier there were reports that Amal Neerad was working solely with Kunchacko Boban. However, with the arrival of Fahadh Faasil, the anticipation of fans grew. This is the first time Fahadh Faasil and Kunchako Boban are working together.
On 8 June, the makers unveiled the first-look posters of the actors. The character posters were unveiled with a red background. As per the first look posters, the film was expected to be an action drama.
Interestingly, Amal Neerad’s wife Jyotirmayi is acting in Bougainvillea after a gap of 11 years.
According to reports, Bougainvillea is based on the book “Ruthinte Lokam,” penned by Lalo Jose. The story is a psychological crime thriller in which Ruth is a young woman, who suffers from retrograde amnesia and is behind the mystery of a death.
It also has unexpected twists which makes it a fine thriller. Jyotirmayi is expected to play the role of Ruth.
The roles of Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil haven’t been revealed yet. The movie is produced by Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures.
