'Kishkindha Kaandam' to be screened at 29th IFFK. (X)
The 29th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) is all set to be held from 13 to 20 December 2024.
Two months ahead of the film festival, the organisers on Tuesday, 15 October, released the official selection of the films to be screened.
The official list included two films in the International category and 12 films in the Malayalam Cinema Today category.
In the international category of IFFK, Feminichi Fathima directed by Fasil Muhammed and Appuram directed by Indu Lakshmi are selected.
Meanwhile in the Malayalam Cinema Today category of IFFK, 12 films including the recent hit Kishkindha Kaandam (2024) are to be screened.
Kishkindha Kaandam was the dark horse, which evoked an overwhelming response from all corners. The whodunit thriller continued its neck-to-neck fight with the high-budget ARM and managed to make its mark in the Onam race.
The movie collected ₹45 lakh on its first day and ₹65 lakh on its second day. The box-office collection soared with Kishkindha Kaandam collecting around ₹46 crore in its second weekend.
