The Malayalam version of Raj B Shetty’s critically acclaimed Kannada film Toby will be released in Kerala on 22 September. The movie is distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films in the State.
It is directed by Raj’s former associate Basil AL Chalakkal. Raj plays the titular role in the movie. Also, he penned the story.
It also casts Chaithra Achar, Samyukta Hornad, and Gopalkrishna Deshpande in crucial roles.
Raj took to social media to confirm the release of Toby in Malayalam. He wrote: “Landing on the most amazing avenue for our Malayalam release.”

Toby was a critically acclaimed movie upon its release.
According to South First review, the first half of the film is all about knowing who Toby is and his past through the people who made a difference and served a purpose in his life.
The second half is when things get seriously gory with more and more people going missing and the reasons behind it. The climax portion is the highlight of the movie.
More than the story, it is the performance of Raj B Shetty as Toby and others supporting him to good effect that made it compelling to watch.
The film also got good reviews from other critics.

This time, Wayfarer Productions has teamed up with Raj B Shetty for Toby. King of Kotha (2023) was the recent release bankrolled by Wayfarer Films.
