Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas injured his leg when he met with an accident during the shooting of his upcoming movie Nadikar Thilakam. The crew was shooting the flick at Marambally near Perumbavoor.
The actor has been advised by the doctor to take rest for a week. Following this, the makers halted the shoot.
According to reports, a huge aquarium was set up by the art department on the sets. Its glass wall broke resulting in the actor suffering a leg injury. However, it was a minor injury.
Directed by Jean Paul Lal, the movie is a big-budget movie produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Alan Antony and Anoop Venugopal under the banner of Godspeed.
Bhavana is the female lead in the movie, which also includes Dhyan Sreenivasan, Anoop Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, and Aju Varghese.
Tovino suffered injuries earlier during the shoot of Edakkad Battalion 06 (2019) and Kala (2021).
Malayalam actor Joy Mathew, too, was injured in an accident when his car collided with a pickup van on the National Highway 66 between Chavakkadu and Ponnani.
The actor was travelling from Ernakulam to Kozhikode when the accident occurred at around 11 PM on Monday, 4 September.
The passersby rescued the van driver by breaking open the front part of the vehicle.
They also rushed both Joy Mathew and the driver to a private hospital where doctors said that their condition was stable.
