“Oh My Baby“, the second single from Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much-anticipated film Guntur Karam was dropped by the makers on Wednesday evening, 13 December.
Within minutes of the release, social media was abuzz with negative feedback. Strangely, most of Mahesh Babu’s fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the tune. They also trolled music director Thaman S for composing a dull tune.
The lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Shastri also drew criticism.
Earlier too, Mahesh Babu’s fans expressed their dissatisfaction with Thaman’s music for the songs in Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2021). While the song “Kalavati” from the film resonated well, the rest of the songs — including the “Penny” song featuring Mahesh Babu and his daughter Sitara — failed to make an impact.
Fans also pointed out that the background music for the crucial beach fight scene in the film was not impactful.
This discontent, which began with those instances in the past, seems to have carried over to the latest developments for Guntur Kaaram.
Meanwhile, as the song (Oh My Baby) is still being shot, there is not much debate on the visuals.
Following this, the Guntur Kaaram team is doing its best to ward off the negativity arising from over-expectations around the flick.
