'Jimmy' marks the debut of Sudeep's nephew Sanchith Sanjeev as actor-director; The superstar's daughter Saanvi Sudeep penned and sang a song for the teaser.

The teaser launch of upcoming Kannada film Jimmy — which was held on Sunday evening, 25 June — was quite a special one for “Abhinaya Chakravarthy” Kiccha Sudeep.
His nephew Sanchith Sanjeev is all set to make a debut with Jimmy as an actor and director. The film is produced Sudeep’s wife Priya under their banner Supriyanvi Picture Studio in collaboration with Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers.
“This could not have been more special with two biggest stars of the Kannada film industry — Ravichandran and Shiva Rajkumar — coming to bless Sanchith. I would only wish that he (Sanchith) makes sure he will sincerely work hard and never let down the legacy built by his seniors in the industry,” Kiccha Sudeep said on the occasion.
Guess what? The star actor-director took a back seat at the event as a “common audience” which he lightheartedly expressed as an act to “not hog the limelight more than his nephew on his special day”.
Furthermore, Kiccha Sudeep stated that he would compete with him at the box office and asked Sanchith Sanjeev, in a lighter way, to stay away on those Fridays when his films would release.
However, it was Saanvi Sudeep, the daughter of Kiccha Sudeep, who was the highlight of the evening.
Saanvi has penned the lyrics for the teaser of Jimmy. At the event, she also sang the song, scored by Vasuki Vaibhav of Rama Rama Re (2016) fame.
“I knew my daughter could sing well but never thought she could do this well as a professional playback singer. I was only told that they are making Saanvi sing a song for the movie. Vasuki has done a great job with the music. Saanvi sounds so professional as a singer,” Kiccha Sudeep remarked.
Crazy Star Ravichandran praised Vasuki for the music, saying, “The first thing I noticed was the music. It’s completely different from the genre of films which Vasuki had been doing.”
Meanwhile, Dr Shiva Rajkumar welcomed Sanchith Sanjeev to the “S” group as he mentioned himself and Kiccha Sudeep whose name starts with the letter “S”.
“I can see the dedication in Sanchith, and he has all the qualities to be an actor. I welcome him to the ‘S’ group for a successful career in films,” Shivanna added.
