The first-look poster and teaser of the much-awaited prequel to the 2022 Kannada pan-India blockbuster Kantara has taken the internet and social media by storm by garnering millions of views.
The prequel has been titled Kantara-A Legend Chapter 1.
Hombale Films released the teaser in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, and English.
The teaser showcases Rishab Shetty in a captivating Aghori avatar, embodying a distinct form of God Shiva’s avatar.
The poster, featuring the actor wielding God Shiva’s Trishul (trident) and another weapon, has sparked curiosity amongst Kantara fans across the globe.
Kantara, initially made in Kannada, was later dubbed into multiple languages after its humongous success. It is now being made in seven languages due to the enormous popularity and appreciation it has earned due to its cinematic excellence and reach.
Talks suggest that the prequel will have a storyline dating back to the 14th century.
The muhurat shot of Kantara-A Legend Chapter 1 was organised on Monday, 27 November, without any fanfare.
