Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar on Sunday, 26 January, returned to Bengaluru from the USA, after successfully undergoing surgery at the Miami Cancer Institute.
Through the surgery in December 2024, he had his cancerous bladder removed, and an artificial bladder was made using his intestine.
A day after his return, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Shiva Rajkumar at his residence and inquired about his health.
Chief minister’s political secretary Govindaraj sharing the photos of the visit wrote on X: “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met the proud actor of the Kannada film industry Shiva Rajkumar who had gone abroad due to illness and had undergone surgery and recovered, and inquired about his health.”

The actor was warmly welcomed by his well-wishers and fans at the airport on Sunday. Speaking with the press, Shiva Rajkumar said, “As the operation was a risky one, I was tensed, but, received so much support from everyone, my family and well-wishers.”
Speaking of resuming work, Shiva Rajkumar said that he will be joining the sets of Ram Charan’s RC16 in March.
The actor will be next seen in the Kannada film 45 which is set to release on 15 August.

Post-surgery, the actor was declared cancer-free by the doctors. In an emotional video message released post-surgery, the actor thanked his fans and well-wishers for supporting him during tough times.
Speaking of the challenges, he said, “I shot the climax sequence of my upcoming film 45 in the middle of my treatment. I don’t know where I got the courage from. However, I was a little worried and nervous when I was leaving for the surgery.”
Shiva Rajkumar had also promised his fans that he would be back on screen soon. “Doctors have asked me to take it easy in the first month. After that, I will be back to my usual self. There’ll be twice as much power in the dance, fights, and the looks. With your blessings, I will always be full of energy.”
