Newbie Keshav Moorthy’s film Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdhaararu is an anthology with three stories that all touch upon the subject of theft in different ways. These are the stories of common people who lead lives with uncommon hobbies/veiled pursuits.
The three stories of Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdhaararu are all set in Bengaluru and touch different strata of society. In each story, we see different individuals discover the adrenaline rush and happiness they get when they end up stealing something and doing what is morally wrong. To divulge what each of the stories is about is doing a disservice to the team, so it is best left to check it out oneself.

The situations and settings are very commonplace, but it is the narration and the twists that elevate these characters. Keshav proves to be a worthy writer as well as director, someone to watch out for in the coming years.

If 2024 saw a good two dozen films in Sandalwood which were great in terms of content, Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdhaararu is a great start to the new year. This film is the right mix of content and entertainment making for a good theatre viewing.
