Actor Dhananjaya announces his engagement with Dr Dhanyatha

According to reports, the pair will get married on 16 February 2024, at a private ceremony in Mysuru.

Kannada actor Dhananjaya, popularly known as Daali Dhananjaya on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava and Deepavali announced that he is engaged to Dhanyatha, who is a gynaecologist.

The actor took to his Instagram account to share the news with a one-and-a-half-minute photoshoot video of them.

In the video, Dhananjaya is seen reciting a poem by the famous Kannada poet DR Bendre,  for Dhanyatha, and the couple are seen in traditional wear.

According to reports, the pair will get married on 16 February 2024, at a private ceremony in Mysuru, however, there has been no official confirmation.

The actor sharing the video on Instagram wrote: “To the beloved Karnataka, Getting married soon, with family and you all’s will, You have walked with me in every step, blessed me from the bottom of your heart. I am stepping into the important phase of life with my friend, with your blessings. I will invite you to the wedding, everyone should come and have lunch. Happy Kannada Rajyotsava and Diwali.”

The video is now viral on social media platforms, and many actors and colleagues of Dhananjaya congratulated the couple.

Dhananjaya debuted as an actor with Director’s Special — released on 31 May, 2013. In his career spanning ten years since then, the actor has dabbled in the roles of producer and lyricist too.

In 2021, Dhananjaya’s first venture as a producer was Badava Rascal. He took it up under the banner of his own production house Daali Pictures.

Apart from commercial films, Daali also presented (assisted in the release of the film) Daredevil Musthafa, which after hitting the screens has earned critical appreciation. Daredevil Musthafa is based on a short story by renowned writer Poornachandra Tejaswi.
