The popular Kannada song “Marali Manasaagide” from the film Gentleman (2020) has joined the 100 million club.
The video song garnered at least 101 million views in the past three years on YouTube.
Directed by Jadesh Kumar Hampi, who is basking in the success of his latest venture Kaatera (2023), for which he has written the story and as well as for the screen, Gentleman featured actor Prajwal Devaraj and Nishvika Naidu in the lead.
Ajaneesh Lokanath scored the music for the soundtrack. Sanchit Hegde and CR Bobby sang it. Nagarjuna Sharma and Kinnal Raj penned the lyrics of the song.
Ever since the release of the romantic number, “Marali Manasaagide” garnered several millions of views on various social media platforms, including a few awards for best music and best playback singing.
Filmmaker Guru Deshpande bankrolled Gentleman under his banner G Cinemas.
Centred on Bharath, Gentleman unfolds with the challenges of his rare condition called the Beauty of Sleeping Syndrome, causing him to sleep 18 hours daily and be awake for only 5 to 6 hours.
