Aditya's 5D is directed by S Narayan

The upcoming Kannada film 5D marks a milestone in the career of not just one but two personalities from the Kannada film industry.

For actor Aditya, 5D marks his 25th film. He debuted with Love (2004), directed and produced by his father Rajendra Singh Babu.

For S Narayan, a noted Kannada filmmaker, 5D marks his 50th directorial venture in his long-drawn career.

Narayan made his directorial debut with the melodious hit film Chaitrada Premanjali in 1992. In his three-decade-long career, he helmed several popular Kannada movies with legendary actors like Dr Rajkumar and Dr Vishnuvardhan.

His directorial venture Shabdavedhi (2000) was the last film in which Kannada thespian Dr Rajkumar acted.

Starring Aditya and Aditi Prabhudeva, 5D is slated for release on 9 February.

Sharing his thoughts on 5D, director S Narayan said. “Making 50 films is a challenging feat, achieved by only a few directors. Having worked with legends, 5D is a culmination of my experiences. Mistakes are inherent, and this movie carries a narrative that communicates a meaningful message to the audience.”

About his collaboration with S Narayan, Aditya said, “Working with S Narayan sir was a long-time wish, and it finally came true with my 25th film. The experience of collaborating with such an accomplished director is invaluable. I extend my thanks to the entire team for this opportunity.”

Aditya took pride in being part of this distinctive film. “This marks my 25th film. It has several interesting elements, and the climax is my favourite part. The unique climax holds unpredictable twists, creating tension even for actors. To understand why, one must watch 5D.”

He added, “Audiences appreciate films with compelling content. That’s precisely why I chose 5D. Making 50 films is no easy feat for a director, and only a select few achieve that milestone. I’ve had the privilege of working with legends on this journey, and it fills me with pride. 5D is not just a film; it carries a message about the consequences of unknowingly making mistakes that can impact society.”
