Vinayakan was arrested for creating ruckus at police station

Jailer actor Vinayakan was arrested by the Kerala police for creating a ruckus at the Ernakulam North Police Station on Tuesday evening, 24 October.

The police reportedly summoned the actor for questioning after receiving complaints over a dispute with his wife at his apartment. However, Vinayakan is learnt to have created a ruckus at the police station too.

The police said that the actor, in an inebriated condition, hurled abuse at them. Following this, the cops took him to the General Hospital to test the alcohol levels in his blood. Later, they filed a case against him for obstructing them in the execution of their duties.

However, while leaving for the police station hospital after his medical examination, Vinayakan told the media that he didn’t know why he was being arrested. “I came to file a complaint. Please ask the police why I was brought here (hospital),” he said.

Meanwhile, a police official who accompanied the actor to the hospital told reporters that Vinayakan was arrested for creating a ruckus at the police station in an inebriated state.

He was later let off on bail after due procedure.

Vinayakan gained popularity with his negative role in Rajinikanth’s recent blockbuster Jailer. The actor will also be seen in Gautam Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram along with Chiyaan Vikram.
