Dancer-actor Shruthi Hariharan, who made her debut in the Kannada film Lucia (2013), has wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming venture titled Saramasha (In Summary).
Surya Vasishta, who has been in the industry since 2008, is making his directorial debut with Saramsha, thus contributing to the rising trend of actors transitioning to directors in the film industry.
The film was shot in Bengaluru and various locations across the state.
Surya Vasishta started his career as an assistant director in 2008 and later acted in films like Tamassu (2010), Lucia, U Turn (2016), Badmash (2016), Gantumoote (2019), and Shivaji Surathkal (2020).
Along with direction, he will also be seen portraying one of the four characters in Saramsha.
According to the makers, Saramsha revolves around four characters played by Surya, Deepak Subrahmanya, Sruthi Hariharan, and Swetha Gupta.
The director says Tamassu’s casting process inspired him to craft the script for Saramsha.
Penned by Roopa Rao and Surya, Saramsha also features Asif Kshatriya, Ravi Bhat, Ram Manjunath, Satish Kumar, and Prithvi Banavasi.
Udit Haritas composed all the three songs in the movie.
