Intriguing trailer of Mohanlal’s ‘Neru’ launched

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s new outing Neru is an emotional legal thriller.

The makers launched an intriguing trailer of the movie on Saturday evening, 9 December. The trailer gives a glimpse into the plot of the movie.

Mohanlal appears as Vijaya Mohan, a lawyer who is on sabbatical for some time. He takes up an important case after repeated requests from some key characters in the film.

What is the case and what happens next is what the film about.

Emotional and intense trailer

Going by the trailer, Neru would be an intense courtroom drama.

The court trial is believed to be the highlight of the film.

Mohanlal appears as an advocate after Harikrishnan’s (1999) where he did played a lawyer along with Mammootty.

Mohanlal fans can rejoice as the film promises them goosebump moments.

Neru marks the fifth combination of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph after the Drishyam (2013, 2021) series and 12th Man (2022).  The duo also teamed up for RAM which is undershooting.

On 24 November, the makers of Neru unveiled an official poster that featured Mohanlal as a lawyer.

Neru is scripted by Jeethu and advocate Santhi Mayadevi, who played a crucial role in Drishyam 2. The movie will be released on 21 December.

Priyamani plays the female lead in Neru. It also has Anaswara Rajan, Ganesh Kumar, and Jagadish in prominent roles.

It is produced by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas.

Mohanlal is now shooting for Empuraan, the second part of Lucifer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The actor is also working on Vrushabha, a big-scale multilingual film directed by Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore.

His new movie with veteran director Joshiy was announced recently.
