Intriguing teaser of Honey Rose’s ‘Rachel’ launched

Directed by debutante Anandhini Bala, 'Rachel' is expected to be a gritty thriller with a lot of gore and violence.

Intriguing teaser of Rachel unveiled

The makers of Rachel, starring Honey Rose, have released the teaser.

Going by the teaser, the film is expected to be a gritty thriller with a lot of gore and violence.

The teaser also hints that the protagonist—Rachel—awaits seeking revenge. Honey Rose plays the titular role in this Malayalam movie.

Rachel teaser begins with the dialogue, “I saw two red eyes last night. As I think about them, I’m sure it was not a dream. Even if it’s a dream, I can’t forget them.”

What follows next is her hunt in search of those eyes, bloodshed, and some thrilling moments.

Besides Malayalam, the makers launched the teaser in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Rachel posters, released earlier, featured Honey Rose and Radhika Radhakrishnan sitting on a bed and drenched in rain.

At a promotional event, Honey Rose stated that though she played performance-oriented roles in Trivandrum Lodge (2012), Kumbasaram (2015), and Monster (2022), her character in Rachel would outshine them all.

She said, “Rachel is a different film and my character, too, is different from my previous roles. I felt that the movie would turn out well if I did it.”

Honey Rose was last seen in the Malayalam film Rani-The Real Story (2023) and the Telugu movie Veera Simha Reddy (2023). She is presently working on Teri Meri.

Rachel is directed by debutante Anandhini Bala.

The film also stars Babu Raj, Kalabhavan Shajon, Roshan Basheer, Chandu Salimkumar, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Jaffar Idukki, Vineeth Thattil, Joji, Dinesh Prabhakar, Pauly Valsan, and Vanditha Manoharan in prominent roles.

It is produced under the banner of Badusha Productions by Badusha NM, Rajan Chirayil, and Abrid Shine. It is co-produced and co-written by director Abrid Shine.

The story of Rachel is written by Rahul Manappattu. The screenplay is penned by Rahul Manappattu and Abrid Shine. The cinematography is by Swaroop Philip.

The music is composed by Ishaan Chhabra. The editing is handled by Manoj.
