Actor Rao Ramesh is at Mirthipadu in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, shooting for an untitled film directed by Srikanth Addala.

The speciality of his role, he says, is that he hardly delivers dialogues and has to convey everything through his expressions.

Miriyala Ravindra Reddy, who came up with the blockbuster Akhanda starring Balakrishna, is producing this yet-to-be-titled movie. He is spending a lot on the project, which mostly has newcomers and a few familiar faces.

The actor says that this is one of the best characters he has essayed to date and found it quite challenging.

“Communicating with dialogues is easy but emoting with gestures and keeping talking to a minimum is the speciality. Srikanth has re-invented himself and all that goody-goody dialogues he usually writes for his characters are missing this time,” Rao Ramesh told South First.

This is his sixth film with Srikanth Addala. Earlier, he teamed up with the director for Kottha Bangaru Lokam, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Mukunda, Narappa, and Brahmotsavam.

“This project excited me. Srikanth always brings out the best in me,” he said.

All the characters in Srikanth Addala’s movies are good, just like those in Sooraj Barjatya’s films. However, Rao Ramesh terms this untitled film “wild”.

Basking in the success of Dhamaka

Meanwhile, one can notice that there is no exultation in the actor though his latest release Dhamaka starring Ravi Teja grossed ₹100 crore-plus at the box office. Instead, the actor goes about his work as a daily business.

“I saw the theatre rocking with the counter dialogues to me by Hyper Aadhi. Usually, I am the one who gives retorts. But this time, I controlled my temper just because my driver-cum-Man Friday [Hyper Aadhi] proved lucky for me.”

“The jig in the film was not planned and is being appreciated. On the last day, writer Prasanna forced me to do it. I don’t watch it on YouTube as it gives me a lot of anxiety and tension. Dance is not my forte,” Rao Ramesh quipped.

The actor has quite a few interesting projects lined up for release this year: Anni Manchi Sakunale, Dhamki, Eagle, Ohmkar’s untitled film, Gali Janardhana Reddy’s son’s film, Pushpa 2, a Trivikram-Mahesh Babu movie, a Tamil film with Jayam Ravi, and Chandramukhi 2 (Tamil) with Lawrence.
