Despite facing challenges and doubts before its release, the movie Hanu-Man, featuring Teja Sajja has surpassed expectations at the box office.

Directed by Prashanth Varma, Hanu-Man was released for Sankranti, on 12 January, without a big star cast.

The film has grossed over ₹29.50 crore gross, as it made good business in the Hindi belt as well. In contrast to Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, which initially seemed a Sankranti winner at the Telugu box office, Hanu-Man overshadowed Guntur Kaaram, especially in overseas markets.

Movie success

Hanu-Man’s success is likely to break even on the third day making it the first movie to do so in Tollywood and Indian cinema in 2024.

The film’s collections have been impressive in the first two days. Had theatres been allocated based on demand in Telugu states, the Teja Sajja-starrer could have achieved the milestone in just two days.

The Telugu superhero film is produced by PrimeShow Entertainment. Other ensemble cast include Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, Raj Deepak Shetty, Vennela Kishore, Satya and Getup Srinu in crucial roles.

An action, adventure, and fantasy drama, Hanu-Man is about the protagonist Hanumanthu, who gains powers from the Lord Hanuman and fights for Anjanadri. Teja Sajja reportedly underwent a makeover for the role and didn’t shoot for anything else until the film’s release.
