DNFT launch of Malaikottai Vaaliban

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and director Lijo Jose Pellissery have released the DNFT (Decentralised Non-Fungible Token) of their new movie Malaikottai Vaaliban.

The event held in Kochi on Sunday, 5 November, was also attended by Malaikottai Vaaliban producers Shibu Baby John, Kochumon Century Films, and Achu Baby John besides GPL Movies owners Subhash Manuel and Rajesh Krishna.

DNFT, a new platform

GPL Movies developed a decentralised technology as an alternative to the existing centralised NFT. NFTs usually only look at the artistic value of the assets.

But DNFT acquires economic value along with artistic value. A unique decentralized minting process is used for this.

According to GPL Movies officials, the DNFT will initiate revolutionary changes in the global entertainment industry and open up a new source of finance for film production companies.

The images of the movie will be available through the website https://dnft.global.

Release on 25 January

Malaikottai Vaaliban is produced by John and Mary Creatives (led by Shibu Baby John and Achu Baby John), Century Films (owned by Kochumon), Max Lab (owned by Anoop), and Sarigama India Limited (owned by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar).

The film will hit the theatres on 25 January 2024.
