Following an overwhelming response to Maa Oori Polimera (2021) from OTT lovers, the second part, Maa Oori Polimera 2 (2023) was released in theatres in November amidst massive hype.
Actor Satyam Rajesh, who appeared in the lead role, won the hearts of audiences through his performance. The film turned out to be a landmark in his career.
But did you know that the makers had earlier approached senior comedian-actor Ali for the lead role initially?
However, it is learnt that they backed out because of Ali’s demand for huge remuneration. Due to budget constraints, the producers reportedly considered Satyam Rajesh for the lead role which ultimately augured him good fame.
Director Anil Viswanath stated in many interviews that Maa Oori Polimera is not just a two-part film but there are five chapters in total.
So, there is a possibility that the coming chapters will be visually rich and with more quality.
Currently, comedian Ali does not have many offers in hand. Had Ali accepted the role in Maa Oori Polimera 2, he would have happily kick-started his second innings.
Starring Baladitya, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, and Satyam Rajesh in lead roles, Maa Oori Polimera 2 was released in Telugu and Kannada on 3 November.
Directed by Dr Anil Viswanath and produced by Gowr Kriesna under the banner of Shree Krishna Creations, the film also featured Rakendu Mouli, Getup Srinu and Sahithi Dasari in key roles.
