Dhanush tops the IMDb list of popular Indian stars 2022

Ram Charan Tej and Samantha grab the 4th & 5th ranks, while Jr NTR is at 8th, Allu Arjun at 9th and Yash at 10h positions.

Dhanush topped the IMDb Top 10 Most Popular Indian Stars 2022 list which was released on Wednesday, 7 December.

He had four major releases this year of which The Gray Man and Thiruchitrambalam won him critical acclaim and a thumbs-up from the audience. Though his Maaran and Nane Varuvean were flops, the actor emerged at the top of the list.

The IMDb list comprised Indian actors who have regularly been ranked the highest on the IMDb weekly rankings throughout 2022.

These rankings were decided based on the actual page views that the actor gets on the IMDb platform.

In the third position is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Her latest Tamil release Ponniyin Selvan-1 got her this slot, as she did face the camera for the past four years.

From South, Ram Charan Tej is in the fourth position, all thanks to the blockbuster hit movie RRR and Acharya.

He is followed by Samantha whose super hit films Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (Tamil) and Yashoda (Telugu) won her rave review. She proved herself as an actress who can handle different genres easily.

The last three slots in the IMDb are from the South. Jr NTR is at the eighth positive. He is the co-star of Ram Charan Tej in RRR.

Allu Arjun is at ninth rank. His Pushpa: The Rise, released in December last year, still continues to be the talk of the town.

At tenth position is Kannada actor Yash who as “Rocky bhai” of KGF 2 made heads turn.

From Bollywood, Alia Bhatt is in the second position with RRR, Brahmastra and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Gangubhai got her lots of fans.

The only Bollywood hero to figure in the IMDb list is Hrithik Roshan. His only release this year is Vikram Vedha, a remake of the Tamil film of the same name.
