Animal collections day 10

Having surpassed the ₹700 crore (gross)-mark in under two weeks, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal continues its box office mayhem with record collections in the two Telugu states.

Bollywood analysts predict that there is no indication of a slowdown for Animal until 22 December.

Despite the release of a successful Telugu movie like Hi Nanna (2023) in the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Animal has registered impressive collections over the past weekend.

It may be recalled that Animal has done a theatrical business of ₹10.85 crore in the Telugu states.

If this movie was to break even, it needed a share of ₹11.2 crore. But Animal reached break-even in just two days.

The pan-India film collected a share of ₹23.47 crore after the completion of 10 days in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It provided a profit of ₹12.27 crore to the buyers so far.

  • Nizam: ₹11.50 crore
  • Ceded: ₹2.25 crore
  • North Andhra: ₹3.00 crore
  • East Godavari: ₹1.37 crore
  • West Godavari: ₹1.25 crore
  • Guntur: ₹1.42 crore

Meanwhile, on the 11th day, Animal collected ₹737.98 crore gross worldwide.

The action drama is being received by audiences with a pinch of hate due to the extreme violence and intimacy portrayed in the film.

Directed, edited, and written by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie has a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri.

With a runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, Animal delves into the dynamics of the family relationships of India’s richest industrialist Balbir Singh and his son Ranvijay Singh Balbir.

The storyline revolves around a son’s affection for his father, who is frequently absent due to work commitments. The film explores the conflicts arising from the son’s love and admiration for his father and family.
