Venkatesh and family booked in Deccan Kitchen demolition case

Actor Daggubati Venkatesh, who usually keeps himself away from controversies, is now embroiled in a civil dispute concerning the demolition of a restaurant owned by one K Nanda Kumar.

A case has been registered against Venkatesh along with his family members, including producer Suresh Babu, Rana Daggubati, and Abhiram Daggubati.

The police filed the case following instructions from the Nampally Court.

Nanda Kumar, the founder of the Deccan Kitchen restaurant in Filmnagar, filed a petition in the court that his food outlet was demolished by the GHMC officials in July 2022.

In the petition, he mentioned that officials deliberately carried out the demolition on Sunday, which is against the Supreme Court order, without serving notice to him.

Nanda Kumar further told the court that the Daggubati family colluded with the GHMC officials to carry out the demolition.

The petitioner also mentioned that his property was razed down in November 2022 and a board was erected stating that the property belonged to Suresh Productions Group.

Venkatesh’s recent film Saindhav (2023) ended up as a massive disaster and the actor is preparing for the second season of the Netflix series Rana Naidu.

Venkatesh is yet to announce his next venture.
