First single from Viduthalai

The first single from Vetrimaaran’s two-part film Viduthalai will be released on Wednesday, said an announcement made by its makers on Monday, 6 February.

The song, “Onnoda Nadandhaa”, has been composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It is sung by actors Dhanush and Ananya Bhat. The lyrics are by Suga.

A behind-the-scenes video was also released, showing Dhanush training and interacting with Ilaiyaraaja.

Soori and Vijay Sethupathi are the lead actors in Viduthalai, while Bhavani Sree, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon are doing supporting roles.

Velraj is the editor. Peter Hein is the action choreographer. It is produced by Elred Kumar Santhanam under the banner of RS Infotainment.

The release date of the film is yet to be disclosed.

Making of ‘Leo Bloody Sweet’ released

Guitarist Keba Jeremiah recently shared a video on his Instagram account showing the making of the song “Leo Bloody Sweet”. The video depicts Anirudh composing the music and Keba playing the guitar.

In the caption, Keba wrote about his experience playing the song.

The song is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and rendered by Anirudh and Siddharth Basrur. Heisenberg, who previously wrote the song “Wasted”, is the lyricist.

On Friday, 3 February, the team behind Vijay’s 67th film (Thalapathy67) revealed the title of the movie – Leo – through a title promo. The promo generated buzz and the song “Leo Bloody Sweet” also gained popularity among fans.

Jackie Shroff in ‘Jailer’

Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has been officially confirmed to star alongside Rajinikanth in his forthcoming flick Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

The makers recently shared a picture from the sets. Most of Jackie Shroff’s scenes will be filmed in Hyderabad.

The actors previously worked together in Uttar Dakshin (1987) and the 3D animated action film Kochadaiiyaan (2014).

Kochadaiiyaan was directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya and scripted by director KS Ravikumar.

Jailer is an action thriller produced by Sun Pictures and is set to release in the summer of 2023.

Rajinikanth will play the role of jailer Muthuvel Pandian. The film also features a host of stars, including Mohanlal, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan.
