Nayanthara to join Jawan shoot

Nayanthara is all set to take part in the final leg of the shooting of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

The actor will visit Rajasthan for the 20-day wrap-up schedule of the film being directed by Atlee. The makers are waiting for a clarification from Nayanthara as the Tamil Nadu government reportedly formed a three-member panel to look into the alleged surrogacy issue involving Nayan and her director-husband Vignesh R Shivan.

In view of the ongoing controversy, Nayanthara’s personal security has been beefed up and efforts are on to shield her from the media glare.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh came to Mumbai on Sunday after a schedule in Chennai. He thanked Vijay Sethupathi, Atlee and his wife Priya for their hospitality. In Chennai, he shot an all-women fight sequence.

Atlee thanked Shah Rukh for agreeing to shoot in Chennai which provided livelihood to over 1,000 film workers. Deepika Padukone, who is doing a cameo in the flick, also took part in the shoot. Bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan will be released on 2 June 2023.

Dhoni plans multi-starrer with Mahesh Babu-Vijay

Cricketer MS Dhoni, who is launching his own production house Dhoni Entertainment to produce South Indian films, is believed to be toying with the idea of bringing out a multi-starrer with Vijay Thalapathy and Mahesh Babu as his maiden venture.

Sources said that Vijay and Mahesh personally share a good vibe and are excited to team up with each other. If the project materialises, it will be the first to have the collaboration of two superstars from the South.

However, the film would go on the floors only after a year. While Vijay already has two films in the pipeline, Mahesh Babu is busy shooting for his forthcoming #SSMB28. It may be noted that Vijay rose to fame with the Tamil remake of Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu (Ghilli) and became a superstar with the remake of Mahesh’s Pokiri (Pokkiri).
