Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Shaakunthalam, which was scheduled to release on 4 November, has now been postponed. Shaakunthalam‘s producers have ascribed the postponement to the delay in making the 3D version of the movie.
In a statement shared on its official Twitter account, the Hyderabad-based production banner Sri Venkateswara Creations said it wanted the audience to be able to experience Shaakuntalam in the 3D format.
The production house said it had decided to wait for the 3D format as it wanted to give the audiences a “bigger experience” with Shaakuntalam.
Meanwhile, Samantha’s ill health is also adding to the delay, said the producers. Being a heroine-centric film, Samantha’s presence at promotional events is a must.
The producers, however, had earlier released a poster of the movie building up anticipation among the actor’s fans.
Actor Ajith’s fans are angry with a Tamil magazine for giving the misleading impression that it had an interview with the actor about his biking and friends, when in reality it had no such interview.
What it had was interviews with a few biker friends of the actor.
Ever since the magazine’s tweet with the cover showing the actor and his pet dog went online, talk began that Ajith had changed his policy of not interacting with the media.
People even provided reasons why he was doing so. One reason cited was that as Thunivu, which is currently being shot in Bangkok, was going to be released on Pongal at the same time as actor Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu, Ajith had decided to open up and promote his film.
Some even said that producer Boney Kapoor had suffered losses in his previous film with Ajith and so had imposed a condition that Ajith start giving interviews.
While Vijay does not give interviews either, he was seen in a freewheeling chat with the film’s director on a TV channel that has the telecast rights. He also attended the audio release function of the film, whereas Ajith does not attend any functions related to his film.
Ajith and Manju Warrier are in Bangkok for the final leg of the shooting. Earlier, Manju had posted photos of her with Ajith on a bike in Ladakh.
