Tamil Actor Ajith Kumar

While there is speculation over who will direct Ajith Kumar’s 62nd project — dubbed AK 62 — with names of two directors in the race, a video posted by Vignesh Shivan of himself at London’s Canary Wharf has intensified the buzz among Ajith’s die-hard fans.

Especially so as the video comes close on the heels of Ajith himself being spotted at London airport. For Ajith fans this signalled that AK 62 was very much on with Vignesh as director.

This, at a time there is also talk of Magizh Thirumeni being roped in for AK 62 with some fans insisting that an announcement on this would soon be made. Lyca is said to be bankrolling AK 62.

That’s not all, there is even buzz around AK 63! And it is that the film will be directed by Atlee and AR Rahman has come on board as music director.

Sources in the Vignesh camp, however, revealed that the first schedule will be in Mumbai, and Vignesh had gone to London to finalise an action choreographer for the project.

The sources added that in all probability it will be Aishwarya Rai who will join the cast and that Trisha has not been replaced by Keerthy Suresh.

Composer Anirudh, who gave the hit Doluma for Ajith, is said to teaming up with him again for AK 62.

This film will be the most expensive project in the actor’s career. The story is said to have loads of humour and romance, which was missing in his earlier films.
