PS-1 promo tour in Thanjavur cancelled

Madras Talkies has cancelled the promo tour of Ponniyin Selvan-1 from Big Temple in Thanjavur as many priests advised against it.

The priests reportedly cited an age-old belief according to which any head of the State or VIP entering the temple through the main entrance will lose their place of importance in society, thanks to Vastu.

Hence the VIPs enter the temple from the side door. In view of this religious sentiment, a little birdie in Madras Talkies said, the filmmakers of PS-1 have cancelled the promo tour.
