The upcoming political drama Yatra 2, featuring Mammootty and Jiiva in pivotal roles, is building clamour with each update from the makers.
The makers of Yatra 2 unveiled the video song “Choodu Nanna” from the movie on Saturday, 20 January.
The song is sung by Vijaynarain and penned by Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar.
As soon as the video song was launched, it evoked a warm response from netizens.
In “Choodu Nanna“, actor Jiiva, who plays YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is seen taking up an “Odarpu Yatra“.
Yatra 2 is the follow-up to the 2018 hit film Yatra, which depicted the life of the Andhra Pradesh CM late YS Rajashekara Reddy. Mammootty portrayed the role of YSR in the movie.
In the sequel, the narrative shifts to the current Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The teaser of Yatra 2 offers a glimpse into Jagan’s journey, showcasing the overwhelming support he garners following the untimely demise of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
However, the plot hints at the challenges and threats faced by Jagan Mohan Reddy from rival political factions.
The film is set to unravel the story of how he navigates the obstacles caused by his distractors while ascending to the position of Chief Minister.

Directed by Mahi V Raghav, Yatra 2 is produced by Shiva Meka under the banner V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves.
The supporting cast includes Ketaki Narayan, Suzanne Bernert, and Mahesh Manjrekar.
The technical crew boasts talents like Santhosh Narayanan for music, R Madhie for cinematography, Shravan Katikanen for editing, and Selva Kumar for production design.
The release of “Choodu Nanna” marks another step in the journey of Yatra 2 towards its much-anticipated release.
