Vikram’s last film Veera Dheera Sooran is a two part project, from which, the second was released in March 2025.
The film directed by SU Arun Kumar was critically acclaimed.
Veera Dheera Sooran is an action drama with Theni Eswar as the cinematographer, Prasanna GK as the editor, and CS Balachander as the art director.
Meanwhile, the actor had also joined hands with Maaveeran fame Madonne Ashwin for the project tentatively titled Chiyaan 63. It is being backed by Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies
On the other hand, Prem Kumar’s last film Meiyazhagan, starring Karthi and Arvind Swamy was appreciated both by the audience and critics.
It told the story of two people meeting after 22 years, one leading life in their ancestral village, and the other who shifted to the city due to circumstances.
Meanwhile, 96 delves into the lives of high school sweethearts Ram (Vijay Sethupathi) and Janu (Trisha) as they reunite after 22 years at a 1996 batch reunion.
Nostalgia and reunion are a common theme in both of the director’s works.
Prem Kumar is also set to work on the sequel of 96.
