Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on Thursday, 30 June, reposted Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s picture on Twitter and Facebook.
The American business tycoon also followed Babu on Instagram and Twitter, besides posting a heartwarming message to him and his wife Namrata Shirodkar on social media.

The tweet comes after Mahesh Babu and Namrata ran into Gates at a New York restaurant on Wednesday.
In a classic fanboy moment, the Telugu superstar described Gates as an inspiration and “one of the greatest visionaries” in the world. He also called him humble.

Babu also retweeted Gates’ response, and said it was one of his favourite moments ever.
Mahesh Babu is currently in the US for detoxification treatment and a family vacation with his wife, son Gautham Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni.
The family has been on holiday since May.
Before landing in New York City, they toured different parts of Europe: Germany, France, Switzerland, and Italy.
The family has also been sharing pictures from their vacation on Instagram.
Mahesh Babu’s latest release Sarkaru Vaari Paata turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.
The movie grossed over ₹200 crore worldwide and is still running in select theatres.
It was the maiden collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Parasuram.
It was also the first time he shared screen space with Keerthy Suresh.
Mahesh Babu is set to listen to the reworked script of director Trivikram Srinivas’ upcoming project once he returns to India.
Reports indicate that the Babu-Trivikram movie will wrap up by February next year.
However, all eyes are on his big project — SSMB29 — with legendary director SS Rajamouli.
According to reports, the film has an adventure theme with a forest background.
If all goes as planned, the film will go on the floors in the summer of 2023.
