Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, is set for release soon. The film’s first song, titled Bhairava Anthem, was released on 16 June. On Sunday evening, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD launched it across all music platforms.

Set to tunes by Santosh Narayanan, Bhairava Anthem blends experimental elements of Punjabi and Telugu lyrics, featuring vocals by Diljit Dosanjh and Deepak Blue.

As indicated by its title, Bhairava Anthem serves as the theme track for Bhairava, the central character portrayed by Prabhas in the film. Adding to the excitement, the energetic vocals of Diljit Dosanjh generate enthusiasm among fans.

The lavish production design, synonymous with Vyjayanthi Movies, is prominently displayed in every frame of the promo, ensuring a visually stunning experience for the audience.

In the Tamil and Hindi versions, the Telugu lyrics are substituted while the Punjabi lyrics remain unchanged. On 15 June, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released a short promo that was also received well by fans.

In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin shared his experience of directing a cast filled with stars. He jokingly admitted to feeling a bit awkward giving instructions to legendary actors such as Big B and Kamal Haasan.

“It had been two years since I last directed, and my first scene was with Mr Bachchan. He has some fantastic action sequences in the film. Whether it’s him or Kamal sir, they all appreciate being directed. The more prominent they are, the more open they are to direction,” he added.

Although Nag Ashwin acknowledged the immense popularity of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, he stressed that his main priority was fulfilling the film’s requirements through their characters.

He also casually sidestepped questions regarding speculated cameos by Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan.

Nag Ashwin confessed that he essentially made Kalki 2898 AD even with 10-12-year-old children in mind.

“Every action scene is enjoyable for them. However, detailing the specifics presented challenges. We once thought people wearing masks and using oxygen bars were futuristic—now, it’s our reality!”

Taking place in a dystopian future, Kalki 2898 AD transports audiences to Kasi. The storyline revolves around a harsh, survival-of-the-fittest setting, where Supreme Yaskin heads a new authoritarian elite government. With its compelling plot and impressive cast, the film aims to make a significant impact in the realm of sci-fi cinema.
